The One Quick and Simple Way to Deal With Self-Doubt

I’ve been talking with a lot of people lately about self-doubt. It’s a real biggie for most of us.

We can doubt ourselves quite a bit when we’re growing a business, can’t we?

  • We doubt whether people will want what we are offering.
  • We doubt whether we’re giving the right coaching advice.
  • We doubt whether we’ve priced our offerings right.
  • We doubt whether we are showing up authentically enough.
  • We doubt whether we are expert enough.

Self-doubt shows up because we have deviated in that moment from who we truly are.

And who are we? We are love. We are joy. We are magnificent.

That is our true nature. Anything other than that can feel pretty uncomfortable.

The quickest way to lose your self-doubt in any moment is to take your attention OFF the thing that’s causing it. Just for a moment. You don’t have to uncover what’s causing it. Not in that moment.

You just have to find a feeling of relief.

And in that feeling of relief, you raise your vibration to where your intuition lives and all of a sudden all sorts of intuitive guidance, inspiration, confidence and amazing ideas can show up for you to act on.

Try this:

> Identify what you DON’T want ie I don’t want to feel inauthentic in my marketing of my business.

> Write down what you DO want ie I want to showcase what I’m passionate about. I want to be truly in my power and in my confidence as I talk about what I do and who I serve. I want to ooze authenticity

> Now connect with how what you want feels – how does it FEEL to be authentic; to be in your truth? How does it feel to be confident? Connect with the times where you are at your most confident (cooking a signature dish, a craft you can do with your eyes closed, when you’re in the zone with a client). How does that feel?

What you’ve done here is take your attention completely off your self-doubt … just for a few moments.

Now, what if you did that every time you doubted yourself?

Let me know how you go with that in the comment below.
